HOW TO PERFORM THE FORWARD LUNGE – by @championptp ? -? ? Want to train with us online or in person? Link in bio!? -? In this video, strength coach @kieferlammi takes us through a tutorial for the forward lunge.? -? The forward lunge is a great progression from a split squat or reverse lunge for single leg training. A couple things we're looking to see are:? ?Front knee around 90 degrees and over the middle of the foot (slightly forward or back is ok as well)? ?Back hip gets to full extension and forms a straight line from knee to head? ?Push yourself back and up as one on the ascent without any excessive or jerking motion from your upper half? -? In addition to being a great single leg training tool, this particular variation adds a great frontal plane control component as you work to avoid any wobble of the knee or hip when you step into the lunge!? -? ?
