Relieve Neck Tension

RELIEVE NECK TENSION - great video post from @dr.jacob.harden!? .? The suboccipital muscles sit right at the base of the skull. ? They kick in whenever you extend and rotate your neck and also have a role in proprioception, which means it helps your brain know where your head and neck are in space.? .? For a lot of you, this area can be a site of tension and irritation and can feel amazing to do a little self massage on.????? In fact, this is one of the number one areas I will work on to help clients relax and destress. It's just one of those relax and melt into it kind of things.? .? So super simple here. Spend 30 to 45 seconds rolling each side out. Swipe over if you need to see a better reference of where to put the ball.?? .? Tag a friend with neck pain and share the wealth!? .? #Prehab101 #neckpain #neckrelease #mobility #movebetter #performancetherapy #prehab #fitness #exercise #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #DPT #DPTstudent #physio #physiotherapy #chiro #chiropractic #mobility #fitness #correctiveexercise #movebetter #movement #sportsrehab #athletictrainer #strengthandconditioning #personaltrainer
